Your support has allowed us to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, seen, and empowered to express themselves.\r\n\r\nThrough these materials, students are building essential skills such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and responsible decision-making. I've witnessed meaningful changes—students are more willing to share their thoughts, navigate conflicts with greater confidence, and support one another in positive ways. These tools have made it possible to incorporate engaging, hands-on SEL activities that resonate with students and reflect real-life situations.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, having access to these resources has been transformative. They are not only growing academically, but also developing the emotional skills needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Your investment has helped foster a stronger sense of community and belonging among our students.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a lasting impact on our classroom and for supporting the whole child. It is with sincerity that I write this letter on behalf of our music community. Thank you for supporting our music program. Your contributions have played a crucial role in fostering the opportunity for these students to unleash their musical talents and to create lasting experiences for them.\r\n\r\nWith your donation, I was able to purchase an Ibanez Electric Guitar with additional Ernie Ball guitar and bass strings. The goal of this project was to rejuvenate our existing guitar and bass string inventory and teach our young musicians how to effectively and efficiently change strings. We were able to accomplish this goal by having our guitar instructors provide short workshops on the importance of changing strings regularly and how to actually change the strings. Many of our students had never learned this skill although they've been playing guitar or bass for an extended period of time. This is one small step in a process that we will continue with consistency over time.\r\n\r\nIn addition to our guitar and strings purchase, we used some of the funding to purchase a high quality Vic Firth practice drum pad. We have some drum pads but they've been getting worn through the years. Our drum students use these pads on a daily basis to practice their rudiments without making too much noise. We also purchased two quality microphone boom stands to replace a couple microphone stands that have lost their adjustment threading. This was a need that we've had for many months now.\r\n\r\nThe next steps in our journey as a contemporary music school is to fundraise enough money to replace a large portion of our guitar and bass amplifiers, keyboards and synthesizers, and drum sets.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you to all of the donors that made the funding of this project possible. Your generosity made it possible for our music students to expand their knowledge in guitar string maintenance, drum rudiment practice, and singing performance.","fullyFundedDate":1768177570345,"projectUrl":"project/rock-rock-rock-rockrock-n-roll-hig/9993025/","projectTitle":"Rock, Rock, Rock, Rock...Rock N Roll High School!","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Caballero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8155830"},{"teacherId":8155838,"projectId":10012484,"letterContent":"The donated items have been beyond useful and helpful to my students. We use the highlighters when we are annotating text in a variety of literary selections and also to enhance our own student notes.\r\n\r\nThe most innovative donation has been the four large white boards that students use in their table groups when we are doing group projects. Most recently, we were reading \"The Sound of Thunder\" by Ray Bradbury and then using a paragraph-\r\nwriting strategy to generate shared answers to analysis questions on the short story. \r\n\r\nThe white boards are large enough that the group members can follow the \"scribe\" who writes for the group, and the other group members then write the shared answer in their own notebooks. Thanks to your donations, we received easels, tri-fold display boards, frames, and stands that transformed our student showcase into a professional, meaningful gallery experience. Your contributions directly impacted our students by elevating both the presentation of their artwork and their confidence as young artists.\r\n\r\nThe materials you provided allowed us to display student artwork in a way that honored their hard work and creativity. The easels created a gallery-style atmosphere that encouraged visitors to slow down and truly engage with each piece. The frames helped students see their work as finished, professional creations, reinforcing the value of craftsmanship and presentation. The tri-fold boards allowed students to include artist statements, research, and reflections, helping them communicate their artistic process and personal connections to their work. Additionally, the stands provided organization and structure, ensuring that the exhibition flowed smoothly and looked cohesive.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, this was the first time they had ever participated in a formal art exhibition. Seeing their artwork displayed professionally made them feel recognized, valued, and proud of their accomplishments. Students stood beside their work, discussed their creative choices with visitors, and experienced the joy of sharing their artistic voices with the community. This opportunity fostered confidence, communication skills, and a deeper appreciation for the arts.\r\n\r\nThe exhibition itself was a tremendous success. Families, staff, and community members attended in large numbers, creating an uplifting and celebratory environment for our students. The professional presentation, made possible by your donations, drew attention to the students' work, creating an authentic gallery experience that impressed visitors and encouraged meaningful conversations about art and creativity.\r\n\r\nBecause of this successful exhibition, we also raised $1,300 for our students' educational trip to Puerto Rico. This outcome exceeded our expectations and would not have been possible without the professional display materials you helped provide. Your generosity not only supported our art program but also helped expand educational opportunities beyond the classroom. The funds raised will help students experience new cultures, histories, and artistic traditions, further enriching their learning experiences.\r\n\r\nYour support has had a lasting impact on our students and our school community. The materials you provided will continue to be used for future exhibitions, allowing even more students to benefit from these opportunities. You have helped create an environment where students feel seen, appreciated, and inspired to continue exploring their creativity.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our students, families, and school community, thank you for believing in the importance of arts education. Your generosity made a meaningful difference, and we are deeply grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1768574209601,"projectUrl":"project/masters-of-influence-exhibition-commu/10018890/","projectTitle":"Masters of Influence: Exhibition & Community Celebration","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Margaret Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3233204_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y362&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768287707474","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3233204"},{"teacherId":9353296,"projectId":10041636,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for donating to our cause of getting students to be more active. They worked in teams to plan, measure, and construct bridges that met specific size requirements, then tested them with weight to see how strong their designs were. One powerful moment was watching students revise their structures after an initial test failed—students were discussing ratios of vertical to horizontal supports, problem-solving together, and cheering each other on as their bridges held more weight. The materials truly turned our classroom into an engineering lab.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were immediately excited and curious. They began brainstorming ideas, sketching designs, and asking if they could start building right away. Many students who don't always feel confident in traditional math lessons were especially engaged because they could see and touch the learning. There was a strong sense of ownership and pride from the very beginning.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will analyze their bridge results and connect their designs to math concepts like ratios, measurement, and problem-solving. They'll reflect on what worked, what didn't, and how engineers improve designs over time. We'll continue extending this learning into future STEM challenges where students apply the same engineering mindset—planning, testing, revising, and collaborating—to new real-world problems. These materials will continue to support hands-on experiences that build confidence, creativity, and critical thinking in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1768184974944,"projectUrl":"project/bridge-project-time-to-show-your-engine/10006038/","projectTitle":"Bridge Project: Time to Show Your Engineering Skills!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hitchcock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8163517_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768020861093","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8163517"},{"teacherId":1003581,"projectId":10028538,"letterContent":"I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of pencils, notebooks, reward stickers, books, and poster paper.
