Students at our contemporary music conservatory are afforded the privilege of recording their own music and learning about the process of sound engineering, including being able to master the operation of signal processors, such as reverbs, harmonizers, compressors, limiters, equalizers, gates and all of the other devices which have become standard tools of the recording engineer. This amazing opportunity for our students is in direct alignment with Nevada Academic Content Standards for Music Technology: MU:Pr6-1THSIII. Integrating digital and analog tools and resources, demonstrate an understanding and attention to technical accuracy and expressive qualities of the music in prepared and improvised performances of a varied repertoire of music representing diverse cultures, styles, genres, and historical periods.
