The rolling carts, classroom supplies, and bulletin board organization materials have already made a big difference in our room. We've been using the carts daily to keep materials organized and easy for students to access, especially during small group work. It's helped our classroom run more smoothly and given students a sense of independence when grabbing what they need. One moment that really stood out was watching students take ownership of setting up their own materials without needing constant direction.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw everything, they were genuinely excited. They noticed right away how much more organized everything looked, especially the bulletin boards. A few of them even commented that the classroom felt \"new\" and easier to learn in. Having clearly organized spaces and materials has helped them stay focused and more engaged during lessons.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're continuing to build on that organization as we move into more structured group activities and projects. Students are using the materials to support their work, and we're focusing on keeping everything neat and accessible so they can stay on track. I had asked for pencils, notebooks, highlighters, and so much more. Due to the impact of DonorsChoose, I am able to provide my students with materials that we use on a day-to-day basis. Now, students are able to focus more on the material that is being taught in the classroom rather than feeling that they can't accomplish the work because of lack of supplies. \r\nMy students are very excited to have materials housed in the classroom for them. They are respectful towards the supplies and using them wisely. They loved the unboxing of the supplies. Their favorite supply that was provided are the highlighters. This is their favorite because we do a lot of reading assignments in here and they love to see the different colors on their paper to differentiate the importance of different information in each passion.\r\nI want to say thank you for the impact that you've made in my classroom. Most of the students I have in Art are either African American or Hispanic, so learning about their own artistic culture is important. \r\n\r\nI appreciated the opportunity to have them work with various mediums to express themselves and recreate some pieces of famous Black artists: Alma Thomas, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jacob Lawrence, and Faith Ringgold. The students were excited to try these projects with the materials that were donated. Some of my students usually struggle to work together, but these games have helped them collaborate and encourage each other.\r\n\r\nAround the same time, we were talking about their reading scores, and I explained how learning can happen in different ways. Using games helped them see that they're still building skills while having fun. Now they're more motivated and even challenging themselves to do better. We'll keep using these materials to help us reach our reading goals, especially when it doesn't feel like learning.
