Students have been analyzing colored maps, creating models, and having vivid discussions with their classmates. \r\n\r\nI have also been able to share resources with my colleagues in my department. During our Earth Science planning meetings, we are able to come up with engaging activities that utilize colorful images. It's been amazing. Thank you so much for your help. They waited patiently until every chair was ready, then proudly helped set up our new seating.\r\n\r\nThe joy on their faces said it all—they were thrilled to finally sit in comfortable lab chairs. With your assistance, my students are experiencing the life of a chemist as they partake in hands-on activities for organic chemistry. Organic chemistry is a new venture for my students. This is scary, new territory for them, and with your assistance, it has become more manageable.\r\n\r\nToday, my students synthesized aspirin during lab. The pots will soon be in use because our seedlings will need bigger pots. \r\n\r\nThe lighted plant stand is great because it really increases our capacity in class to grow plants. We are able to grow plants that produce food like tomatoes, bell peppers, and even pumpkins! Yes, we have 2 pumpkin plants on our plant stand. We are also able to grow lettuce plants to be used in our hyrodopnics unit. Because I want students to enjoy plants of all types, we are propagating common house plants such as the Snake Plant and Purple Heart. Student interest in plants has really increased since we now have more opportunity to grow them. We really appreciate all that the Donors Choose community has done for your classrooom.
