Although this project is bigger and goes farther than these robot car coding kits, it is the start to a space that will become a place students can go to express themselves and learn new skills. These materials will make a difference in student learning because skills in our makerspace can be transferred to other places as well. In the makerspace students will learn patience, teamwork, and flexible thinking, all of which can be used in any area of the school and in life. I would like to start with the requested robot car coding kits so students can advance their technological knowledge as well as their coding skills. At the moment it is not planned to have any materials go home with the students for COVID reasons, but there is no reason to say that we will not reach a point where we can achieve that.
