When I handed out the gloves and hats, they put them on right away, and they were so surprised and excited to pick out their own. The students received the play dough, the activities, and workbooks for their own at-home use. Those workbooks were a great way to ensure students had something to do over their break, they were very excited to see new stories and activities to complete. The books and additional activities were distributed in the white paper bags, and the students were able to decorate them and take them home.The fidget tools and some of the stuffers were used as classroom prizes and incentives for students to earn and use in class. Working to clean surfaces and keep illnesses from spreading benefits all people in our class greatly. When students are present and healthy in class, they are able to take advantage of all the instruction and collaboration that goes on. My students have always been attentive to illnesses and understand the importance of individual responsibility while in school. Whenever students felt sick, they would ask me for a face mask; being able to provide those for my students has been a great relief.
