In Kindergarten we set the foundation for learning and this project will support a way for me to build a community of readers. It will give students a space that anchors the library and encourages them to want to read by creating an environment that is cozy and comfortable. In order to begin to teach students to read they have to want to read. This will allow the kindergarten kiddos a safe, secure space to begin to explore what reading is. The library space will be used during Readers workshop, where students choose places around the room to read to themselves or a partner.
