These books are for students just learning how to read regardless of age. I set aside part of the day to group my students up based on ability to work on specific skills. Many of my students this year are struggling readers and need to work on skills via books that are on their level. These books will be used to build fluency and confidence during our centers time so that they can move on to more challenging books in the future. The books I chose are fun topics and easy to read. The print is large and full of pictures to support comprehension.
