We now have several different seating options for students to choose from. \r\nThe wobble stools have been assigned to students who enjoying having a whole body rocking motion. The wobble cushions are rotated around the classroom, as most students enjoy having turns with them on their chairs. The rotating cushion helps support one student, it allows him to have more movement in his seat. Several students are using the foot bands. They rest their feet on them and quietly bounce up and down. The wobble feet are used on the bottom of chairs, so the chair can bounce and sway side to side if students are needing to move. The calming stones, cloth band, and large ball are used by all students regularly. \r\nI have noticed that students are more engaged when they are using these tools. They now have the freedom to wiggle and move their bodies, while learning in class. When we introduce the world of Harry Potter to our kids, our hope is that we are introducing a reading series that they will love for a lifetime. You are helping to make this hope a possibility. \r\n\r\nSo many of our previous 4th graders come back to us after reading their gifted book telling us they are now on book 4, or 5!
