My classroom is filled with students who love to learn in many different ways. When my students can get out of their chairs and work in different areas they are very excited. Whether they are working independently or cooperatively the opportunity to work in a different space increases productivity. These lap desks will give my students so many more options and choices to help create their own optimum learning space. Giving students options and choices with their learning leads to greater engagement and higher success. Many of my students like to work on the floor. Using a lap desk will allow them to sit /kneel on the floor and still have a good work space and not just have to balance a clipboard. Lap desks will be extremely useful when my students want to work on the floor with their devices. It will keep the devices safe as well as help my students to not need to be bent over to use the device. I also have students who like to stand when they work. These lap desks can easily be placed up on our current tables to create multiple standing desk spaces throughout our classroom.
