Every item you helped fund has made a meaningful impact on my students' understanding, confidence, and excitement about science.\r\n\r\nThe full-size human skeleton model has become one of the most powerful teaching tools in our classroom. My students—many of whom have never seen an anatomical model in person—now gather around it to explore the skeletal system, ask questions, and make real-world connections. It brings abstract textbook diagrams to life and makes our lessons feel tangible.\r\n\r\nThe set of 120 prepared microscope slides opened up an entirely new world for my students. For many, this was their first time seeing cells, tissues, and microorganisms under a microscope. Their awe and curiosity were unforgettable—students who rarely speak up were suddenly calling friends over to look at their favorite slides. These specimens have strengthened their microscopy skills and deepened their understanding of cell biology.\r\n\r\nThe GIANTmicrobes plush sets—from historical plagues to modern-day pathogens—have been classroom favorites. These models spark conversation, help visual learners grasp scale and structure, and bring humor and approachability to challenging topics. The animal cell and plant cell plush models also became quick favorites, helping students compare organelles in a memorable, hands-on way.\r\n\r\nYour support also allowed us to create a more visually rich learning environment. The human anatomy and body systems posters, the \"Why Study Biology?\" chart, the ecosystems and food chain posters, and the Hubble Bubble science posters have turned our classroom walls into sources of daily learning and reinforcement. Students refer to them constantly during lessons, labs, and even when helping each other study. These visual anchors make our classroom feel like a true scientific space.\r\n\r\nAltogether, these materials have elevated our lessons from abstract concepts to interactive experiences. My students are more engaged, more curious, and more confident in exploring biology than ever before. For many of them, this is their first time seeing science represented in such a hands-on, accessible way—and it is already inspiring several to consider future careers in medicine, research, and STEM.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and investing in their education. Your generosity created opportunities that will impact them far beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1760735923794,"projectUrl":"project/see-it-touch-it-learn-it-biology-in-3/9707989/","projectTitle":"See It, Touch It, Learn It: Biology in 3D","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dos Santos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10057284_orig.png?crop=148,148,x0,y45&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756338593266","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10057284"},{"teacherId":4344987,"projectId":9819183,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping this \"old dog\" new tricks.
