As a teacher in a very diverse, low-income school community, I see every day how much even the simplest resources can make a difference. Your generosity has directly supported our students in ways that go far beyond the materials themselves.\r\n\r\nThe pencils you provided have already made an immediate impact. Many of our students come to class without basic supplies, not because they are unprepared, but because access to resources can be limited at home. Having pencils readily available ensures that every student can participate fully in lessons, complete assignments, and engage confidently in their learning without feeling embarrassed or left out. That simple tool removes a barrier and replaces it with opportunity.\r\n\r\nThe crayons, markers, and colored pencils have added creativity and depth to our classroom activities. In math, students often create detailed graphs, color-coded notes, and visual projects to demonstrate their understanding of concepts. These materials allow them to organize their thinking clearly, highlight patterns, and present their work with pride. For many students, being able to express their understanding visually builds both comprehension and confidence.\r\n\r\nYour donation of dry erase markers has also been invaluable. These markers are used daily to write examples, model problem-solving steps, and display important notes on the board. Clear, visible instruction helps students follow along more effectively and reference key concepts during discussions and practice. Because of your support, our classroom board is consistently ready for interactive learning.\r\n\r\nThe protractors and rulers you provided are essential tools for our geometry units. Students use them to measure angles, draw precise line segments, and create accurate geometric diagrams. Having enough tools for everyone means students can work hands-on, check their understanding, and build important skills in measurement and spatial reasoning.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, please know how much your kindness means to our students. They notice when people invest in their education. They see that there are individuals who care about their success and believe in their potential. That message is powerful. Your generosity not only equips them with supplies but also reinforces their sense of worth and possibility.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and our entire classroom community, thank you for your compassion, your support, and your belief in the power of education. Your donation is making a meaningful difference every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1765747952608,"projectUrl":"project/math-with-mrs-gorman/9681353/","projectTitle":"Math with Mrs. Gorman!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gorman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6257349_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1549902807306","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6257349"},{"teacherId":6257349,"projectId":9681855,"letterContent":"I cannot express my gratitude enough to you all! My students and I are so very thankful to be able to get all of the necessary supplies for our math class. Having the items that were sent to me made a HUGE impact on student learning and participation.\r\n\r\nWorking in such a large school (over 4000 students) is such a challenge for so many reasons. One of them is the constant rotation of germs and sickness. Having items such as Kleenex and hand sanitizer helps mitigate illness and keep everyone healthy and in class to learn the necessary material. Teachers are not typically provided with these things and the costs add up so quickly, so it is an enormous relief to be able to provide these things to my students without having to worry about the financial burden. \r\n\r\nHaving a set of class calculators is also a very big asset in my room! Many of the students need to use a calculator to complete math work, especially since I have so many special education students who have \"calculator use\" in their IEP plans. Having enough for everyone to use one is amazing. I also really like how they are all the same because it makes it easier for me to help troubleshoot issues or give directions when we are learning how to use a new button on the calculators.\r\n\r\nOne of the classrooms I work in has a whole wall of windows that faces the hallway. It is hard enough trying to keep a room of high schoolers on task and engaged in class without having to also battle the constant distractions in the hall. So, having the stained glass window clings are both decorative and make the room more personal/cozy feeling, and also functional and effective.\r\n\r\nWe all truly appreciate your generosity!!\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nMrs. Gorman","fullyFundedDate":1758474631817,"projectUrl":"project/math-class-help/9681855/","projectTitle":"Math Class Help!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gorman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6257349_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1549902807306","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6257349"},{"teacherId":8153866,"projectId":9511172,"letterContent":"First of all, I apologize for the delay in getting this letter to you. Words cannot express my gratitude for how quickly this project was funded, your donation did not only help Young athletes this season, but will continue to help them for seasons to come.\r\n\r\nThis year was the first year where I felt like our numbers really came back, we had 36 players in the program this year and I am only hoping that number will continue to grow next year. It is extremely powerful that I am able to tell the girls That you just need to show up and we will help you with everything else. I believe this makes playing a sport work accessible, and it opens the door for more athletes! \r\n\r\nWords cannot express my appreciation, thank you again.","fullyFundedDate":1754173853126,"projectUrl":"project/shield-our-shins-so-our-girls-can-play/9511172/","projectTitle":"Shield Our Shins!!
