In my math classes, it is extremely difficult to push my students and pose challenging mathematical questions without proper technology. Our school does not have enough calculators for each math class and kids often have to share. We have one white board in the room, but the students would greatly benefit from having individual white boards to complete work at their desks and practice problems. Our school is also falling apart (literally). A new school is in the process of being built, but we still have to be in this building every day for a few more years. It leaks when it rains, howls when it is windy and the air is so stale and stuffy that teachers and students often get sick. Air purifying plants in my classroom are a small thing that can make a big difference to these kids. By providing individual calculators, whiteboards, and plants you will help my students be able to have access to cleaner air and have adequate access to technology needed to complete mathematical tasks. We use calculators almost daily and never have enough. My students and myself are often coughing or sneezing and this is the sickest year I have had as a teacher due to poor air quality. Whiteboards will help me be able to plan more engaging and interactive lessons. In the past, I have had to buy many of my supplies and wants on my own, but am unfortunately unable to do so any more. Any amount donated is truly appreciated and extremely helpful! Thank you!
