They were eager to flip through the dictionaries and immediately began searching for words they were curious about. Seeing their faces light up when they realized these resources were for them was truly heartwarming. The children are excited to receive letters from Fanny in our curriculum. They look forward to checking the mailbox each day and practicing their early literacy skills with purpose and enthusiasm.\r\nIn the science and sand area, the students are fascinated by the different insects. They spend time looking closely, identifying features, and asking questions. Several students are able to have their material read aloud to them, helping them build confidence and independence in their learning. With the headphones they can access this support privately, without feeling self-conscious or drawing attention to themselves.\r\nThe noise cancelling earmuffs are wonderful. They have supported students during testing and have been a tremendous help for children with auditory sensitivities. I have one student who uses them every day. He is very sensitive to loud noises and becomes overstimulated. Whenever he becomes overwhelmed, he will ask for \"his headphones\".
