We have integrated these resources into our daily routines, especially during extended learning blocks, tutoring sessions, and after-school workouts. One powerful moment came during a recent study hall where students who would typically struggle to stay locked in were energized, focused, and actively completing missing assignments while fueling their bodies in a positive way.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. Many of them expressed gratitude, not just for the snacks, but for being seen and supported. For some of our student-athletes, this was more than just food—it was a reminder that people believe in their success both academically and physically. The environment shifted quickly; students were more attentive, more motivated, and more willing to take ownership of their learning. It created a culture where fueling your body and pushing your mind became connected.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are continuing to build on this momentum by tying these resources directly into our academic accountability systems. Students are using these moments to set goals, complete assignments, and track their progress toward GPA improvement and overall performance. Our next steps include expanding structured study sessions where nutrition and learning go hand in hand, reinforcing the idea that success in the classroom and in athletics requires discipline, consistency, and the right support. Your donation has helped us create that foundation, and we are incredibly grateful for your investment in our students' growth.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our scholars","fullyFundedDate":1769646301351,"projectUrl":"project/fuel-the-mind-body-and-soul-while-maint/10005210/","projectTitle":"Fuel the Mind, Body and Soul While Maintaining Educational Ownership","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Francois","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9077961"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_109273","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":570,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":78,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":18,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"33.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":27.6,"schoolId":109273,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Livingston Collegiate Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Livingston Collegiate Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/orleans-parish-school-district/livingston-collegiate-opening-fall-2016-/109273"}
