The materials I am requesting will help with assisting my scholars achieve their goals in and out of the classroom. We have been exploring different skill sets this year, in addition to sensory needs and basic phonics, the materials will help the scholars continue to feed their love of new experiences. After building a shelf for our classroom, a student has shown great interest in continuing to build and work with his hands, and this is why we're requesting a building kit, in order to further grow this new passion. Our scholars are learning about animals and life cycles in science, so a larvae to butterfly kit would not only teach this in the most visible way possible, but also teach empathy for our fellow creatures. We use sensory materials every day, and the kinetic sand and magnet materials would continue to expand on this, and would get us moving and thinking about the world around us in different ways. Above all, we love to try new things in Essential Skills!!
