Students and parents teamed up to build working aqueducts, and catapults to shoot paper chilies into a chili bowl! Our younger students truly enjoyed crafting beautiful Aztec calendars and building pyramids out of paper cups. Meanwhile, some of our older students stepped into our immersive \"Amazon room\" to catalog jungle and marine animals. These activities gave everyone a fantastic space to celebrate their heritage while enjoying dynamic STEAM learning.\r\n\r\nThe high point of the night came when our students performed traditional songs and dances. To our surprise and delight, our school principal and several parents joined right in on the dance floor!\r\n\r\nWe believe that \"it takes a village\" to raise and educate our children, and this event was a true testament to that philosophy. We were incredibly fortunate to partner with our local community group, La Voz de la Comunidad, who helped bridge the gap by providing our Hispanic families with vital access to community services during the event.
