The classroom has become a hands-on learning space where students feel empowered to participate, explore, and take pride in their work.\r\n\r\nAs students prepared nutritious snacks, they strengthened fine motor skills through cutting, mixing, and measuring. These activities also supported learning in natural ways—following directions, sequencing steps, and building focus and patience. Perhaps most exciting was watching students grow more confident as they tried new foods, many for the first time, and discovered that healthy choices can be fun and rewarding.\r\n\r\nThis project went beyond cooking; it helped students build independence, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. Knowing they had their own tools encouraged ownership and responsibility, while the shared experience of cooking together fostered collaboration and joy.
