The items in my project will not only help replace some outdated classroom materials, they will help my students improve functional language skills, strengthen fine and gross motor abilities, promote social emotional understanding, and encourage the acceptance of others. In my classroom, my students' goals are being targeted every day, in every lesson plan, every activity, and every conversation. With this project, I can give my classroom a refresh with some new and innovative games and manipulatives that will excite my young learners and motivate them to practice skills that are individual to them and each of their specific needs, while also benefiting the whole group with items that can be used across multiple modalities in the learning environment.
