The students were able to take ownership and help organize the classroom. That showed me how much something as simple as organization can empower them to take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nWe've already put the organized supplies to use in a variety of ways. In math, having manipulatives clearly labeled and accessible means we can dive into hands-on problem solving without delays. Students are able to come into the classroom and take breaks without my help. They learned that plants can grow without soil by seeing the evidence for themselves. Every day they would come into Science and the first thing they'd want to do was see how their plants were growing!\r\n\r\nOur basil plants grew the best. They students and I were so impressed with how big they grew! Parsley also grew well.\r\n\r\nStudents were able to take home their plants on the last day of science class. I was able to send home 3 plants for each class.
