They have enjoyed drawing, painting, and creating! Students have completed many projects including sketching and coloring a fall scene, rock paintings, mosaic pieces, and more. The clay, markers, paints, colored pencils, sketchbooks, and rocks have opened up so many creative possibilities! \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, the room filled with excitement! They were amazed by the variety and quality of the supplies—especially the markers and the vibrant paint colors. Many immediately started brainstorming what they wanted to create and couldn't wait to start experimenting.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to display their artwork around the school and create a small \"art walk\" for other classes to enjoy. We're also planning to use the clay in our next science unit, where students will sculpt animals that represent different ecosystems. These resources have truly inspired creativity and confidence in my students, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help them express themselves through art.","fullyFundedDate":1758802716979,"projectUrl":"project/empower-young-artists-with-special-needs/9617854/","projectTitle":"Empower Young Artists with Special Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Eurit","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6694788"},{"teacherId":10083082,"projectId":9475412,"letterContent":"On behalf of the S.O.A.R. Program, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous contributions. Your donations have made a meaningful impact on the lives of our students as they continue developing essential life and work skills. Because of your support, we were able to purchase tools that have allowed our students to practice meal preparation, kitchen safety, and teamwork in hands-on, engaging ways. The students were excited to unbox and begin using these items. These activities help build independence and confidence, preparing our students for real-world experiences beyond the classroom.\r\n Your donations also made it possible for us to provide important personal care items for each student. These items have supported lessons in personal hygiene, self-care, and organization—skills that are key to living independently and feeling confident in daily life.
