We have sensory time built into our schedule everyday. My students can struggle with isolating specific fingers and controlling some of their movements. These materials will promote dexterity and give my students a different type of sensory input. Many of my students are in wheelchairs, so creating a wall that they can sit at will provide them an opportunity to participate more actively in these activities. Combining these items with the sensory items in the classroom will make a great variety for my students to make choices and be able to use their imaginations. The students love to feel different textures and hear different noises that items make.
