We were hit hard with sick seasons this school year and without these two items it would've been difficult. We recently read Pencils on Strike since we have been struggling with losing our pencils or breaking them. The book was such a great way for my students to hear from the perspective of the pencil and why they wanted to be treated with respect. The book made taking care of our pencils more meaningful since they weren't hearing me say it one more time to keep track of their pencils. \r\n\r\nAnother item that gets used all the time is the wipe off hundreds charts. We love to use this to practice writing our numbers. We even compete with each other to see who can write as many numbers they know as fast as they can. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your contribution! During UFLI we practice writing letters and words on our whiteboards. Since the boards are new we are all able to work more easily in practicing. The playdough and stampers have been a huge hit in practicing our CVC words during small group.
