Students earn money, and once a month, they can shop for things they like. The first time I did the class store this month, they were so excited to shop and start thinking about how they could earn more money for the next store time. Before the first class, I showed students a sneak peek of some of the items, and they were so excited. When they were finally able to shop, students had a hard time deciding what to buy, but they really liked all the items they were able to purchase. \r\nI have conducted the class store twice now, and each time, students are thinking about how they are going to spend their money. Students are counting money and learning about the value of an item. I will continue to run the store, and thanks to your donation, I will have items that motivate students to earn money. \r\nThank you so much for your generous donation. By donating to my project, you have helped provide meaningful, language rich, and diverse books to my students that help them build their understanding of various concepts across multiple content areas. \r\n\r\nIt was an amazing surprise to come back from spring break and see my teacher table full of boxes to unpack. They were all full of books that my students were eager to browse through. Many students wanted to write personal thank you notes to each and every donor who helped fund the project. When I told them that we would submit a thank you package, but would not need to write to specific people, they were very sad that they wouldn't be able to write and address a letter to all of you themselves. This shows how your generosity has impacted my students already and has also inspired them to be more generous as well. Your donation has directly impacted our student's ability to learn and regulate their bodies at school. With the donations we were able to get three classrooms enough snacks to feed sixty children for several months.\r\n\r\nChildren need routines and structure. This year first grade lunch is much later than usual, so snack time became a vital part of our routine. As students become familiar with the daily routine, the predictable pattern brings comfort. Students knew they were going to have a reliable snack time, so they were able to focus on their academics.
