With the Butterfly Bonanza Festival, students and community members will help to create a butterfly habitat outdoors in our gardening area. The gardening tools will help us to create this natural space for butterflies. In addition, the books on butterflies from National Geographic and other sources will allow students to learn more about butterflies. One of the festival components will be a reading corner in our gardening space. The Butterfly Bonanza Festival will energize the students and community members to care more about butterflies and our environment. Some of our students will release butterflies during the festival in the late Spring as well. This butterfly habitat will be a permanent fixture in our gardening space that is a certified wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation!
