One memorable moment was watching students use the hands-on letter and sound materials to build words and practice identifying beginning sounds. Students who were previously hesitant to participate became much more engaged when they could physically manipulate the materials and interact with their learning in a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were excited and eager to explore them. They especially loved the tactile resources because they made learning feel more interactive and fun. The light covers also made an immediate difference in the classroom atmosphere. Several students commented that the room felt calmer and more comfortable, which helped them stay focused during lessons.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our literacy instruction, students will use these resources to strengthen their letter-sound knowledge, build foundational reading skills, and practice blending and decoding words. These materials will continue to support small-group instruction and provide differentiated learning opportunities so that all students can grow and succeed at their own pace. The timer has helped students transition more smoothly between activities and stay focused during independent work and small groups. The markers have been especially helpful for creating colorful anchor charts and visual reminders that students refer to throughout the day. The printer has also made a huge difference by allowing me to provide engaging learning materials, visuals, and hands-on activities that support our lessons.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they first saw the new materials. They immediately noticed the new tools in our classroom and were eager to use them. One special moment was watching students confidently use our classroom anchor charts and participate in activities created with the printed materials. Their excitement and engagement reminded me how meaningful these resources are for young learners.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, my students will use these materials to strengthen their reading, writing, math, and organizational skills. We are continuing to focus on building independence, improving transitions, and creating a structured learning environment where students feel supported and excited to learn every day. We incorporate it into our lessons on shapes, letters, and numbers, adding a fantastic multi-sensory approach to learning for our students.\r\n\r\nWe have used the laminator extensively to create durable, reusable learning tools. This includes laminating countless visuals for daily schedules and routines, as well as academic materials like syllable cards used to build words.\r\n\r\nThe pencil pouches have been essential for organization, allowing students to keep their materials tidy and secure inside their binders. The headphones provide individual audio privacy, which is fantastic for students working on individualized academic programs on the iPads, such as EPIC, LEXIA, IXL, and ARC.\r\n\r\nFinally, our Calm Corner has become a simple yet inviting and safe space. The fidgets provide a valuable resource for students to aid in self-regulation during times of frustration or reflection. It truly serves as a quiet, safe place for our students to regulate their emotions and think through difficult moments in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe standing desk has proven to be a flexible workspace that not only helps save space but is much easier on the teacher's back when spending long periods writing detailed documents like IEPs!\r\n\r\nWe are so incredibly grateful for your kindness and can't thank you enough for supporting us with all these wonderful things.","fullyFundedDate":1755749214894,"projectUrl":"project/calm-and-complete/9526517/","projectTitle":"Calm and Complete","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chavez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8634874_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x384,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660923262578","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8634874"},{"teacherId":1683169,"projectId":9046491,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping bring this project to life for our middle school students. The Mac mini is now part of our science and STEAM learning, giving students a powerful tool for designing 3D models, practicing coding, analyzing data, and creating digital resources that connect to our science units. Students also use it to design their own classroom handouts, yearbook pages, and visual materials that support peers and showcase learning.\r\n\r\nThey are most excited about the speed and creative options it provides, especially when using design and editing software. It allows them to work like real creators rather than only completing traditional assignments. Several quieter students have taken leadership roles during tech based tasks and are now confident contributors. These materials are designed with special education needs in mind, and they're helping us provide lessons that are accessible, engaging, and individualized. Instead of one-size-fits-all worksheets or activities, we can now give students resources that meet them right where they are.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is how interactive and hands-on these materials are. They love using visuals, games, and structured activities that make learning feel fun and achievable. We've seen their confidence grow as they realize they can tackle tasks that once felt overwhelming.\r\n\r\nSome students, in particular, have really connected with these resources. One child who often hesitated to participate now eagerly joins in because the activities feel clear and manageable. Another student has made noticeable progress in reading fluency by using the adapted materials we now have access to and they can fully learn about the environment at an accessible level.\r\n\r\nYour support has given our class tools that truly make learning possible for every student. For students who often feel left behind, having materials designed for their unique learning needs allows them to build confidence and independence.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is how the program feels approachable and fun. Instead of being frustrated by material that's too difficult, they now get to celebrate small successes and see their progress in real time. I often hear students ask if they can \"do one more activity\" before we wrap up—it's rare and wonderful to see them eager for extra practice.\r\n\r\nA few students in particular have really warmed to this new curriculum. One of my reluctant readers, who usually avoids picking up a book, now lights up when it's his turn on the program.
