A new 21.5" iMac will allow me to give my students the distance learning experience they deserve. My current laptop is 10 years old and doesn't allow me to download or upgrade the necessary programs to do my job efficiently. The microphone on my laptop frequently doesn't work, which will make remote learning in the fall difficult. Furthermore, my current screen is only 11", which makes Google Meet sessions with a class of 28 challenging. Having a faster, larger, more efficient computer will help me create a successful learning environment for my students as we work remotely, and will transfer seamlessly as we get back into the classroom. Furthermore, I will be able to produce materials for my students efficiently and with much-improved clarity. This will allow for better communication with families, opportunities to create engaging lessons, and conferencing with my students as we work remotely.
