The joy and laughter in the room that day were priceless.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've been using the board games regularly during small-group centers and as part of our social-emotional learning time. The games have helped students strengthen their communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills while also building stronger relationships with one another. It's been wonderful to see English and Spanish speakers working together naturally, using both languages to explain rules, solve problems, and celebrate each other's successes.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using the games as part of our \"Fun Friday\" enrichment sessions, where students will design their own mini-tournaments and even create new rule variations. The stools and the rugs are very popular, when ever we have time to move around the room the kids have to negotiate who gets to sit on them this time. We have worked out a limit and a system for how many people can be in one corner at once. In all honesty your gifts have allowed us to have several corners in the room. When one area has reached capacity the children simply create another corner with the stools and rugs that remain. It has been the most helpful for those students who have a difficult time sitting in their chairs in a traditional way.
