In order to support my students' success as we enter remote learning, I want to provide my students with high quality digital resources (through Teachers Pay Teachers), and give them some hands-on tools that they and their parents can use at home. I will be creating coping skills kits for each of my students, that they can pick up at school. These kits will include manipulatives (stress balls), journals and sketchbooks, coping skills cards (that I will laminate), headphones (for remote learning without distraction) and other resources to support their mental health and social/emotional learning. In these difficult times, it is especially important for students to be able to manage and understand their strong and sometimes difficult feelings. Many of my students struggle with anxiety, ADHD, depression, social isolation, grief, and trauma. With the tools provided, students will be able to learn about themselves and others, and how to positively cope with daily life in this new way of learning and living. Thank you for your support!
