We have seen students become more motivated to finish challenging tasks because they know their hard work can lead to a positive and enjoyable reward. Students use Legos, Magna-Tiles, and bristle pieces to build structures, create designs, and use their imagination. Having access to headphones allows students to reduce distractions and better regulate themselves when the classroom becomes overwhelming. We use them intentionally as part of our classroom incentive system.
