It was fantastic to see students interpret the colors and shapes to fit their personalities. They even made a group project out of it to help friends design masks for display. In addition, they created categories of awards for the masks -- and the awards were highly ornate masks!\r\n\r\nThe masquerade identity project is one I would recommend to colleagues and do in future years with a new set of students. It was a great way to build community among our lopsided grade levels in this new high school. They started learning how to put the gloves on and helped to place the items in the garden tools area. Since then, the students are so excited to see their hard work paying off and plants growing. They put on the gloves, and a visor and head out to do gardening daily. See pictures.\r\nHowever, the impact of your donations has been transforming to the entire high school. General education students are becoming interested in our garden and speaking with my community based instruction class, asking questions, and my students are answering questions directly with the information they have learned about gardening.
