Interactive learning with manipulatives in math is such an important component to a students learning. With these manipulatives, my students will be able to gain a conceptual understanding of fractions, time, place values, multiplication, and division. These manipulatives will supplement my instruction of the math standards students are required to meet. Students will use the hands-on kit, number lines, interactive learning centers, collaboration among students and problem solving to expand and challenge their thinking. As their teacher, I want to set a solid foundation to help them succeed in the rest of their school career. These manipulatives will make a huge difference in their lives today, and forever. The love and excitement for math will carry my students throughout their academic career.
