Since spring is upon us, we have been talking about living and non-living things. Plants were on our list for living things. The students understood plants need water and they grow. We looked a video about plant life. Afterward the students were able participate in planting Pansies in peat pots to take home and use the tools plant Pansies in a flower box. \r\n\r\nWe are on our way to making our garden grow. The kneeling wagon will be popular for little ones as they manuever around. We look forward to exploring more of the tools when we begin our unit on soil next month. Diggging in the soil is a desired activity for lower grades. The minature tools to regular size tools will accomodate all size hands for this activity. We look forward to planting beans, squash, strawberries , and potatoes. This will be a delight for them. We have been able to use the dry erase boards, markers and erasers to enhance our Math class. We had a student teacher day where parents came in to the building and students led instruction for an hour. We were able to use the boards during the student led instructional activities. Students showed their work and held up the boards so the teacher (student teacher) could see their work and provide assistance when necessary. It was an awesome experience thanks to you!\r\n\r\nWhen students received the materials they were very excited to use them. I was excited too because it helped with small group instruction and I could see if students understood the activity just by looking at their board and I could be discrete.\r\n\r\nWe plan to continue to working with the boards as we prepare for the GA Milestones test coming up.
