I have had 26 kindergarten children gathering on a small rug. It can be chaotic. They need more space to focus. "He touching me" is a constant song on the carpet. This is an interruption for me and the other students. Storytime has come to a complete halt to make an adjustment of sitting arrangements. This is a kindergarten class that has many different personalities. Everyone has a right to listen and learn. But we are crunched together which is a distraction. I would like our meeting place to be inviting and cozy. A larger rug will accommodate all students.
