Wanting to nurture the kids' independence while giving them the tools to succeed, my wonderful 3rd team and I have devised a plan that covers many content areas including tackling discipline with positive reinforcement. We want to build a 3rd grade store. By doing this the kids are not only working to obtain rewards, they are learning financial literacy, something that is only touched o briefly in our curriculum but definitely puts the ahead of the curve. The financial literacy kit from Lakeshore will provide us with a jumpstart to creating a fun, project based learning opportunity for our students.
