It gives students a special place to gather together, share ideas, and participate in lessons while helping our classroom feel more welcoming and connected.\r\n\r\nThe rug has quickly become one of our favorite places to learn. During reading lessons, students gather on the rug to listen to stories, make predictions, discuss characters, and share their thinking with classmates. It has also provided a space where students can collaborate and celebrate their learning together. As we continue throughout the school year, we will use this space for small-group activities, literacy practice, and classroom community-building.
