Your donation has had a powerful impact on my students by helping us build a positive, supportive learning environment centered on kindness, responsibility, and mutual respect.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the resources arrived, my students were filled with excitement and curiosity. They immediately began asking how they could earn the new rewards and what actions would help them contribute to our classroom community. It was incredibly heartwarming to see their motivation—not just by the materials themselves, but by the opportunity to be recognized for making good choices.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the resources to celebrate positive behaviors such as teamwork, perseverance, helping others, and staying focused. The reward system has helped create a culture where students actively look for ways to contribute positively, whether it's by showing respect during discussions, encouraging classmates, or taking initiative in daily tasks. They're beginning to understand that their actions have a real impact, and that effort and kindness are worth celebrating.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue using these tools to reinforce our classroom values and promote accountability. Your support has helped us establish not just a system of rewards, but a community where students feel empowered to make good choices and take pride in their behavior.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving us the means to nurture such a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Your generosity is helping shape students who are not only successful learners, but also thoughtful, compassionate individuals.","fullyFundedDate":1742921813519,"projectUrl":"project/empower-success-rewarding-positive-beh/9091628/","projectTitle":"\"Empower Success: Rewarding Positive Behavior for Student Growth\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Dedrick Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6799087_orig.jpg?crop=2730,2730,x832,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738353875155","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6799087"},{"teacherId":3091366,"projectId":8839992,"letterContent":"You provided over 70 nonfiction books for my classroom (multiple copies of nine different titles). These students need some external motivation to pick up a book and read, and your donated books have provided just that.\r\n\r\nThe arrival of boxes full of books was an exciting event. I did a \"Book Talk\" where I showed each book to the class and explained why I chose it. In some cases, students who have already read one of the books did the book talk. This action alone sparked tremendous interest among the students and added to the anticipation and excitement around reading one of these books. \r\n\r\nThis is the spark I was looking for when I submitted the \"Nonfiction Grows Readers\" project. Students are reading the books independently and then coming together to complete specific tasks with other students who are reading the same book.
