My students live, eat, and breathe technology. My goal as their 7th grade life science teacher is to meet them where they are and facilitate their learning and interest in science. To do this, my students utilize Chromebooks and their cellular devices almost daily. This technology is used to supplement our physical laboratory experiences as well as to allow students the autonomy to interact with our lesson at their own pace. The products that I have selected will help my students set their own pace when completing technology based assignments. With a class set of headphones, each student will be able to view one-on-one lessons specifically developed for their needs as a budding scientist. This will specifically limit the "one size fits all" approach often seen in many science classes. The headphones will allow students to block out other noises around them and focus on obtaining the laboratory experiences. In addition, the requested lab coats will not only protect students from potentially hazardous materials when completing in class laboratory experiments, but they will also allow students to look the part of scientists as well.
