Our students were SO excited to see the new \"toys\" arrive. The larger games were added to the Library Media Center (LMC) for students to enjoy. The sports balls were added to our positive behavior rewards cart for students to choose as a prize. \r\n\r\nAt the middle school level, it can be difficult to find tangible rewards for students that they will be excited about (and that aren't just food!). The students and staff have loved the new addition of comfy seating. Staff have commented on the \"coffee house feel\" of the new space. Students have enjoyed using the area to do group work, play collaborative games, and have read-alouds! (It truly does not matter the age of the student...sometimes they still just love to read picture books aloud OR have books read aloud to them.) I am hopeful that the new furniture additions will entice our students to \"curl up with a good book\" a little more often. \r\n\r\nI cannot thank everyone enough for your support. I couldn't have done it without you. My students are always in awe when I tell them that all of the new furniture is from generous donors. The amount of times I get comments along the lines of, \"...these people don't know us, but they help buy things for us?\" is amazing. Your support of students doesn't go unnoticed.
