This allows students to focus more of their attention on understanding mathematical concepts, recognizing patterns, selecting appropriate strategies, and explaining their reasoning. Building a strong foundation in multiplication fluency supports students in becoming more independent and confident mathematical thinkers.\r\n\r\nThe impact of daily fact practice extends directly into students' daily math learning and their ability to master grade-level standards. Proficiency with multiplication facts supports success with multi-digit multiplication, division, fractions, equivalent expressions, and multi-step word problems. When students can efficiently recall basic facts, they are better equipped to engage with challenging tasks, persevere through problem-solving, and demonstrate conceptual understanding without being hindered by computational difficulties. Consistent practice helps bridge foundational skills with new learning, empowering students to access grade-level content, experience greater success in mathematics, and build the skills necessary for continued academic growth. Every quarter we take an assessment to see what the students can do on the concepts they were taught that month. Then students practice writing the words on their LCD boards. They love pressing the button to erase their work and try the next word.
