With the opportunity to apply what I've learned throughout my past ten years teaching, I feel I can have a valuable impact on students who are economically disadvantaged. I feel that these students deserve the opportunities that other children have in the surrounding communities. Every child deserves the opportunity to read and explore through virtual field trips and unlimited resources at their fingertips. I want my students to study and learn because they are interested in the topic. I want to take interest inventories to guide my students' learning and comprehension skills based on what motivates them. We are requesting four tablets so my students can have access to the tools that will provide them with unlimited resources via the internet and valuable games and apps that support fluency and reading comprehension. Through the use of tablets we can explore further, we can use more interactive strategies to enhance learning and fluency.
