Hinton. Your support has made a meaningful impact on our students' learning experience and emotional growth.\r\n\r\nThe Outsiders is not just a novel, it's a powerful tool for helping students explore themes of identity, belonging, and empathy. For our students, many of whom face unique learning challenges, literature can be a gateway to understanding themselves and the world around them. This book resonates deeply with our classes because it addresses the importance of acceptance, the complexity of emotions, and the struggles of feeling like an outsider—all themes our students can relate to in their own ways.\r\n\r\nWith adapted reading strategies and inclusive discussions, we've been able to make the text accessible to everyone in the classroom. Students have engaged in meaningful conversations, developed their comprehension and social-emotional skills, and found characters they can identify with and learn from. The donation has allowed us to create a more dynamic learning environment where every student feels seen and valued.\r\nThank you for making this possible. Your generosity supports not only literacy but also the emotional well-being and personal growth of students who benefit from thoughtful, differentiated instruction. We are truly grateful for your contribution and its lasting impact on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1740012285944,"projectUrl":"project/help-struggling-readers-have-access-to-a/9114031/","projectTitle":"Help Struggling Readers Have Access to a Classic!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9537706"},{"teacherId":1930612,"projectId":9008403,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding this project! These portable power chargers have been a life saver in the classroom since the day I received them, especially for classes that are later in the day. I have seen an increase in assignments turned in compared to before we received them. \r\n\r\nI am also using the technology as a lesson to show the students you don't get something for nothing. Every time they need one of the chargers, they must give me something of value to ensure that the charger is returned to me at the end of class. \r\n\r\nStudents have made comments in class that having the chargers are so much easier than sitting next to the wall and being stuck there, not able to move around the room when they are working in groups. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your generous donation to help fund this project.","fullyFundedDate":1734962314315,"projectUrl":"project/the-power-to-finish/9008403/","projectTitle":"The Power to Finish","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Huston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1930612_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1626058963298","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kim-huston"},{"teacherId":5287752,"projectId":9047099,"letterContent":"Being a part of something bigger than yourself – something collaborative – can be one of the most beneficial experiences a high school student can have.
