It is very important to have books readily available for my students to read. There is no better place for these books then within my classroom, where they come everyday and where I encourage them to read! The books that I have included in my project are books that my students are interested in. The front cover, synopsis, or even the movie based on the book sparks their interest, and they are able to pick it up and check it out of my classroom library. The 10th grade English curriculum focuses on the theme of culture. Many of the books that I have included in my project are those that will open my students eyes to a culture that is not their own, and will compliment the curriculum perfectly!
