Major League Baseball recently signed a multi-year deal with Apple to provide tablets to every team. Even though our rural high school wasn't on that list, our baseball team wants to take advantage of the technology, nevertheless. This iPad will be utilized by the coaches and the players IN THE GAME in an effort to join the movement, which is happening with or without us, to modernize the game. Like it or lump it, baseball is moving away from "gut feeling" and toward technology-driven substance, and we want a piece of that. I can say to a pitcher, "You're hanging your curveball," to which he'll reply, "No I'm not," and I want to be able to say to him, "See for yourself!" Direct, in-game utilization by players include everything from IN THE MOMENT swing and pitch recording & analyzation to tracking simple data about an opponent. The point is, this iPad will be used during the game, by our high school players, to hone their skills, and improve their performance. Thank you, so much, for helping to bring this game-changing piece of equipment into our dugout! Go Cougars!
