Your support is already making a profound difference in our classroom.\r\n The books you provided introduce key skills and lessons around empathy, critical thinking, and understanding diverse perspectives. Through these stories, students learn to recognize and challenge inequities, develop compassion for others, and explore complex social issues in a safe, supportive environment.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom has become more dynamic and meaningful. Students can now engage in thoughtful discussions, make connections to their own experiences, and deepen their understanding of fairness and justice. These books help foster an inclusive atmosphere where every student feels represented and heard. This engagement boosts their confidence and encourages a love of reading that extends beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and for investing in our students' growth and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1760372448189,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-students-through-equity-in-th/9820475/","projectTitle":"Empowering Students Through Equity in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Peixoto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10309562"},{"teacherId":6185518,"projectId":9124718,"letterContent":"My middle school students have been using the boomwhackers every week across all grade levels. My 8th-grade class has truly enjoyed them as the project was geared toward providing them with a fun activity for the end of the day. The students were very excited and intrigued by the boomwhackers when we received them. Many recalled playing them when they were in elementary school while others indicated that they had never played boomwhackers before and that this would be a first for them.\r\n\r\nDuring our general music classes, students are learning about keeping a steady beat, reading rhythms, and identifying pitch. The boomwhackers have provided students with a means to learn these concepts and have fun playing their favorite songs with others. They enjoy choosing music to play and their excitement and smiles say it all. I have seen students who rarely participate engaged and laughing as they play songs using the boomwhackers. The uptick in overall engagement from all of my students has been astounding!\r\n\r\nIn the future, I hope to have students learn to play different musical pieces or create musical pieces on the boomwhackers that they can then perform during our chorus and band concerts for an audience. I think it is important for students to share what they have accomplished and created with others. I am hoping a project of that nature will encourage students to pursue other instruments or provide them with a creative outlet. Your donation has allowed my students to thrive in general music and provides them a means to practice learned musical concepts in both a fun and an entertaining way. From all of my students and me, thank you so very much for providing us with boomwhackers. We are truly grateful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1740921516588,"projectUrl":"project/boom-boom-boom-boomwhackers-in-the-mu/9124718/","projectTitle":"Boom! Boom! Boom!
