When the students first saw the boxes of Pilot FriXion pens there was a genuine sense of excitement. It might seem like a small thing, but for a student who is afraid of making mistakes, being able to cleanly erase a wrong answer in ink is a huge confidence booster.\r\n\r\nThe Jolly Rancher Wars have turned our Mondays into something the kids actually look forward to. It has been incredible to watch them hold each other accountable as they have moved from individual learning to working as a team to keep the focus high and the engagement up. \r\n\r\nDuring a recent mid-quarter check-in, the room was electric, the smell of popcorn filled the air. As I used the new megaphone to give a shout-out to those hitting their goals. One student who usually flies under the radar stood a little taller when his name echoed through the hall. Now, as we head toward our Spring celebration, the focus is on finishing strong. These fidgets have already made a noticeable difference for several students who benefit from having a quiet, calming tool in their hands while they focus on class tasks. I've seen students who normally struggle to stay engaged remain on task longer, simply because they now have an appropriate outlet for their energy. The letter tray organizers have helped transform our classroom routines. We now have clearly labeled trays for classwork, homework, and small-group materials. Lastly, the calculator holder has also been a huge help. Before, calculators were often misplaced or mixed in with other supplies. Now students know exactly where to grab one and where to return it, which keeps us organized and prepared, especially during problem-solving lessons.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our current math unit, these resources will support students in staying organized, reducing distractions, and managing their materials more independently.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my students a more supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
