Students use technology every day, yet do not take the time to think about nor understand how these programs work. This donation of materials will give students the opportunity of mapping their local topographic area in real-time. Currently, students utilize maps that are antiquated and not nearly as engaging. The drone and GoPro in this donation will allow students to meet their academic goals. This donation will not only help my students and classroom, but others at my school. I will be able to supply the history teacher on our team with the images and data collected so that the information can be used in a cross-curricular capacity. This would allow the students to have "ownership" and more meaning behind the data that will be utilized in multiple ways and in multiple classes.
