One of my favorite moments was watching students independently choose materials during centers and stay engaged as they explored, built, and problem-solved together.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were immediately excited and eager to try everything out. They were curious, motivated, and proud to use tools that made learning feel fun and accessible. Several students who typically need a lot of encouragement to participate were more willing to engage when the lessons became more interactive and hands-on.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students include using these materials to build independence, increase attention to tasks, and apply skills across different activities and settings. We will continue incorporating hands-on learning into literacy, math, and functional skill lessons to support generalization and deeper understanding.
