Now we wait until the winter weather is no longer so that we can clean it again.\r\nThe wipes have also been wonderful! My students get wipes daily and clean off their desks and chairs. I am a true believer that the better the reader, the more vivid their imagination is, the more likely they are to be ambitious, and the better chances of them having an outcome of success. \r\n\r\nIt has become popular over the years for students to read short passages and answer questions about what they have read. While this method of learning exposes to students to more topics, it does not allow students to develop the stamina of reading an entire novel. Students don't get the full experience of watching characters develop and the many twists and turns of a plot. Plus, they often forget details about short passages. \r\n\r\nBy continuing with the Hunger Games series, this will give my students to opportunity to watch as the protagonist faces many different antagonists as she develops throughout the unpredictable plot. It was explained to them that they would be carrying the bag on their back as we walked around the farm and then when it was time to eat they would then open the bag. They loved the idea of being in charge of their lunch. This was definitely a great way to have everything they needed in hand. Instruments are more than just tools for making sound—they are gateways to creativity, confidence, and community. Thanks to your generosity, that dream has become a reality. Today, our students walk into class and see a complete set of ukuleles waiting for them, ready to be strummed, explored, and loved.\r\n\r\nYour support has done more than purchase instruments; it has opened doors. For many of our students, this is their very first opportunity to hold an instrument of their own. The ukulele, with its approachable size and joyful tone, is the perfect starting point for young musicians. It invites experimentation, rewards persistence, and quickly builds a sense of accomplishment. Because of you, every child in our classroom can participate fully, without worrying about whether they have access to an instrument. That inclusivity is priceless.\r\n\r\nWe have already seen the impact. Students who were once hesitant to speak up are now leading the class in strumming patterns. Friendships are forming around shared practice sessions. The classroom hums with energy as students discover how music connects them not only to each other but also to the wider world. The ukuleles have become a symbol of possibility—proof that with the right tools, creativity flourishes.\r\n\r\nYour gift also ensures equity. In many schools, music programs are limited by resources, leaving some children behind. With a full set of ukuleles, we can guarantee that every student has the same chance to learn, grow, and shine. This is not just about music; it is about building confidence, teaching collaboration, and nurturing resilience. These are skills that will serve our students far beyond the classroom walls.\r\n\r\nWe want you to know that your generosity will echo for years to come. Each strum, each chord, each song learned is a direct result of your kindness. Imagine the ripple effect: students discovering a lifelong love of music, families enjoying performances at home, communities enriched by the creativity of their youngest members. You have planted seeds that will continue to grow long after the last note fades.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our vision. Thank you for investing in our students. Thank you for making music accessible, joyful, and inclusive. Your support has transformed our classroom into a place where every child can feel the thrill of making music together.\r\n\r\nAs our students lift their ukuleles and begin to play, they are not just learning chords—they are learning that generosity creates opportunities, that community makes dreams possible, and that music has the power to unite us all. We are deeply grateful for your role in this journey.","fullyFundedDate":1662552103056,"projectUrl":"project/got-a-uke/6632593/","projectTitle":"Got A Uke?","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Falcon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8253831"},{"teacherId":3796009,"projectId":9641461,"letterContent":"I want to thank you for your generous donation of art supplies to my classroom. The new table has become the heart of our small-group instruction. Because of its shape and design, I can sit closely with several students at once and see exactly what each child is reading and writing. This allows me to give immediate feedback—something that is especially important for my English learners, many of whom are new to the country and have experienced interruptions in their education. The table has created a space where they feel supported, seen, and confident.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the students were so excited. Many of them come from all over the world, speak little or no English, and are working incredibly hard to build new skills. Having a place where we can learn together—comfortably and safely—means more than I can express.\r\n\r\nThe Teachers Pay Teachers gift card is already being put to use. I am designing newcomer picture dictionaries and vocabulary offices that will help students work more independently on days when I can't meet with them individually. These tools will give new arrivals a way to communicate, contribute, and feel successful right away.\r\n\r\nYour support of the hygiene products has also made a meaningful difference. Many of our families are focused on securing basic needs like food and shelter, and cannot afford lice-prevention items. Providing these supplies ensures that our classroom stays safe, clean, and welcoming, allowing students to sit and work closely without worry.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students have access to a warm, supportive environment where they can focus on learning, language, and opportunity.
