Because of your generosity, every student now has access to the novel while we read together in class. Having a full class set allows us to closely follow the story, annotate important moments, and engage deeply with the text as a group. As we read, students practice important literacy skills such as identifying textual evidence, analyzing characters and their motivations, and examining how an author builds suspense and mystery throughout a story.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is very interactive. Students take turns reading aloud, discuss key moments with their peers, and respond to questions that help them track the plot and think critically about what is happening in the story. We often pause to make predictions, analyze clues the author leaves for readers, and discuss big ideas about trust, justice, and human behavior. These shared reading experiences help students build confidence as readers while also strengthening their comprehension and discussion skills.\r\n\r\nMany of my students have already been especially excited about the mystery and suspense of this novel. Even students who are usually quiet during reading activities have started sharing their predictions about what might happen next and debating their classmates about the characters' motives. Your support has helped make reading a collaborative and engaging experience for my students, and it has sparked a lot of thoughtful conversation in our classroom.
